If you are making weight loss plans you definitely need to know this.

Insulin is intended to keep our bodies sugar at a constant level, BUT IT ALSO CREATES FAT.

Therefore whenever you put anything into your mouth containing sugar or carbohydrates you are setting yourself up for GAINING WEIGHT.

OK, so what?.--- May I suggest you read on, because what we are dealing with here is A MAJOR SOURCE OF WEIGHT GAIN. This has now become a major problem in our attempts at trying to reduce or control our weight.

How sugar is bad news for weight loss plans.

The average American and Australian consumes an amazing 2-3 pounds of sugar each week. Other sugars such as corn syrup(dextrose)or fructose can be added to the list. These sugars are being processed into many foods such as bread, breakfast cereal, mayonnaise, peanut butter, ketchup, spaghetti sauce and masses of microwave meals. The list goes on and on.

There are 5 classes of sugars which can make it difficult for weight loss. They are Sucrose(plain sugar), Fructose(from fruit),dextrose from corn syrup, honey, and malts.

In the last 20 years we have increased our sucrose (sugar) consumption from 26 pounds to 135 pounds (about 50 kilo's) per year. Prior to this time OUR SUGAR CONSUMPTION was even less and so were our PROBLEMS ABOUT BEING OVER WEIGHT.

I wont say anything about heart disease, which has also been on a steady climb.

Another unfortunate thing about sugar consumption is that it can slow your immune system to a crawl, but that's another story.

Do you still wonder why we are still getting fat and having trouble with weight loss?.
